I provide Telehealth therapy, also called online therapy, using HIPAA-compliant video conferencing sessions.
All the Benefits of Counseling Without the Commute!
Telehealth has grown dramatically in recent years, and since the global Coronavirus pandemic, it has become a necessity in order for many people to receive available healthcare. Not only have research studies shown it to be just as effective as traditional in-the-same-room type therapy, it comes with additional benefits!
Telehealth (or telemedicine) allows the facilitation of health-related services through live video conferencing. Thanks to modern technology, just about everyone has a smartphone, tablet or computer capable of video conferencing. This ease of access to make video calls has revolutionized the health industry, allowing professionals to interact with clients through a convenient video call.
Telehealth appointments can be very beneficial if getting to a traditional in-person appointment is a hassle for you…or if your favorite therapist (hopefully that’s me) is not locally accessible.
Telehealth appointments can help by removing the need to leave your home to attend an appointment.
Increased Confidentiality/ Anonymity – Think about it…no one ever has to know you’ve left your home or office… And if you’re the type who struggles with social anxiety, online counseling has been shown to be extra beneficial.
Lower Costs for Clients– No gas money needed. Less time missed from work. Your time is valuable too! And less money spent on child care expenses.
Better Client Experience – Telehealth eliminates the wasted time traveling and research studies have shown it to be as effective as in-the-same-room type therapy. Telehealth has potential benefits including easier access to care and the convenience of meeting from a location of your choosing.
After Hour Appointments Available– I can meet with you at a time that works for both of us. Especially good for couples who don’t want to leave the kids home alone or hire a babysitter!

Something to Consider
In the United States, Telehealth counseling is still relatively new as far as licensing and regulation goes. Each state has its own rules. Under my therapy license, I may provide therapy online to anyone within the state of North Carolina, Hawaii, and Texas.
